Hailing from the infamous Northside Jane and Finch Driftwood region comes Burna Bandz, one of Toronto’s biggest underground artists. Originally making a name for himself at the young age of 16 Burna Bandz has gone on to amass over 100 Million streams in his career with multiple Toronto classics over the years. Burna broke out onto the scene in 2017 under UpTop Movements with the release of local hits “My Team” and “456” making him a household name. Burna and associates would follow this success up with the release of 2018’s “Northside Jane” compilation tape which would spawn multiple big records, none bigger than Burna Bandz and Houdini’s anthem “Late Nights”. Late Nights would sky rocket childhood friends Burna Bandz and Houdini into underground royalty making them 2 of Toronto’s most sought after artists. With the new found fame Burna Bandz would respond to the constant demand for new music by dropping what many regard as his best project to date with 2019’s “Compact Burna”. This mixtape would shine a bright light on Burna’s ability to make hit records with songs like “Prime” and “Goon” but none would be bigger than the albums lead off single “Beastmode”. Compact Burna would solidify Burna Bandz' status among the underground legends and set the stage for his consistent production over the years.
