My name is Darīus(Duh-Ry-Us). I was born and raised on the Southwest side of Chicago where music became apart of my life. I grew up hearing lots of Kanye, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Outkast, and even 2 Pac. It's amazing how much my mom loved music. She loved her old school R&B hits but she loved her gospel music more than anything. Which is why I'm so in love with soulful/spiritual sounds. My mom, grandma, older sisters, and God have been able to give me words of encouragement in the hardest times of life. As well as, this life has given and is still giving me a different perspective on how I view it. I'm changing the world with my music one crowd at a time. Honestly, I thank God for that. He knows of the leader that he destined for me to be. That's why I'm going to influence my generation, and generations to come by doing the one thing that I can do best.....and that's speaking my truth.
