@clazadl Adelaide’s own son, Claz is a multidisciplinary artist who has steadily maintained a prominence in the hip-hop and soul scene within Australia for a number of years now. Of Filipino and German descent, the ADL born creative holds a discography showcasing reflections of his own life and ideologies dating back to 2012. Recent highlights include the release of the album ‘The Son Of Lilian’ in late 2021, achieving feature of the week on Triple J’s The Hip-Hop Show, further allowing Claz to embark on a 4 city tour throughout Australia. Playing headline shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and regional Murray Bridge, the album was further celebrated with its independent release on vinyl, receiving praise from Acclaim Magazine, CityMag and Sniffers. Not only confining his movements to the studio, Claz prides himself as a live performer. Aside from his own headline shows, over the years he's supported artists such as Genesis Owusu, Winston Surfshirt, Thundamentals and Horrorshow. Additionally, the man has performed at festivals such as WOMAD (NSS Studio) and OzAsia Festival, on top of playing 2 gigs in Manila, Philippines in 2017. As 2023 passes its half way point, Claz teases a new album putting out two new singles this year ‘Can’t Go Back’ & ‘Back It Up’, with the latter achieving Triple J and Double J play on the Soul Ctrl and Sky High programs. The two singles were launched with a 2 city tour from Adelaide to Melbourne at the beginning of September.
