Dimitri Cervo is a rising composer who has created multifaceted works such as "Toronubá", "The Brazilian Four Seasons", and a "Trombone Concerto", which was premiered by Peter Steiner in the USA and Europe. Often conducting and performing his works on the piano, Cervo has collaborated with various ensembles and orchestras. In 2019, he released a highly praised album featuring his orchestral music, while conducting the Venezuela Symphonic Orchestra. He has completed more than 20 commissions for soloists, ensembles, and orchestras. His music is available on labels such as Naxos, Universal Music, Centaur Records, Azul Music, among others. In 2022, he was nominated for a Latin Grammy (Best Contemporary Classical Composition). Cervo's musical studies in piano, composition, and conducting took place in Brazil (UFRGS and UFBA), Italy (Accademia Musicale Chigiana, Siena), and the USA (University of Washington, Seattle). He also serves as a full professor in the Music Department at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul.
