Kapi is a b-boy and graffiti writer who has been living in Barcelona since 1982. He developed an interest in music in 1983 and discovered hip-hop through the breakdance boom that emerged in Europe in 1984. He purchased his first records in 1985 and acquired his first machine in 1988. By the early 90s, he was already an experienced user of the Cubase sequencer and Akai samplers, as well as turntables. Linked to electro-funk music, and later to funk and breakbeat, these genres have always been loyal companions to his love for breaking. Although he directed his musical energy towards hip-hop for a while, these styles were consistently present during his moments of creative inspiration. He was deeply involved in the hip-hop demotapes boom that preceded the emergence of the first independent rap labels in the Spanish scene in the mid-90s. Since then, he has participated in numerous projects, collaborating with other artists and labels, and has DJed at various venues and events throughout his career. Currently, he is also involved in two electro projects: Downrocks and Seek 2012. With these projects, he publishes several releases each year, including collaborations, compilations, and his own works. Additionally, he remains active in producing other styles such as breakbeat and rap beats. As a DJ, he also works with funk, a genre he has collected and engaged with since his early days in music. Other projects he's involved in include: Nuble Turboo Jauría De Rimas Elements' Lament
