The Swedish band Valdemar is from Göteborg. A music collective creating a sound and music that emerge from stories, people and places in Majorna in the western part of Göteborg. The songs are based on the lyrics and the stories they tell. The music could be described as Swedish americana. The band is now releasing their 4th record "Paradisgatan" (2021). An album about loss, grief and solace. Produced by Pär Öjerot, recorded in the studio "The Green Swan", mixed and mastered by Hans Olsson at "Svenska Grammofonstudion" Valdemar released their first album "Härifrån" (1998), the second album "Hela vägen" (2000) and the third album "Hit" (2002). After the bands guitarist David Ekh died in a brain tumor the band left their own songs for the songs of Bob Dylan after releasing the two albums "Saving grace - the gospel songs of Bob Dylan" (2007) and "Not dark yet in Gothenburg" (2011).
