Lundon Avery is a multi-hyphenate musician and hip hop artist from Peoria, IL. Lundon’s love for music began at an early age. Being surrounded by multiple dynamic musicians gave him the opportunity to learn many instruments, performing piano routines by the age of 6. At the age of 13 he was inspired to start producing for his cousin Courtney who was an upcoming rapper out of Rockford, Illinois. Courtney was gunned down outside of their Grandmother’s house in 2011. Shortly after, both of Lundon’s Brothers were arrested prompting his Mother to send him to live with his Father in the suburbs. The isolation of the suburbs drove Lundon deeper into music, giving him the opportunity to express his pain and emotions which would carve his gritty tone and colorful musicianship. Lundon began to release music on YouTube and Soundcloud which caught the ear of fellow producer Lazar Gray of FKI, who gave him the opportunity to work as an intern for Grand Hustle Records at Defiant Studios in Atlanta. This gave Lundon the time to learn how to mix & master and perfect his craft as a producer. By the end of 2018 Lundon completed his debut album as his own artist, “A Tale of Two Cities,” which detailed the emotionally complex dynamics of losing siblings to the streets, and moving to the suburbs where he ironically experienced a school shooting on his first day. The musicality varies from the hard hitting bass and trap snare of “Bigelow Freestyle,” to the mellow open chords of “Cold”.
