Leah Shoshanah is an international touring singer-songwriter, spiritual musician & educator based in Chicago. She is passionate about the intersection between music, activism and healing. Her work weaves together Folk, Pop, Rock, Jazz and World music in a journey that inspires audiences to sit spellbound, laugh, cry and dance. Shoshanah has released two albums, several singles and is due to release her third studio album, “To Be Free”, in Fall 2024. In 2019, the German documentary, “Blown Away Movie”, introduced Shoshanah’s music to a European audience. She played to thousands as part of a 51-date tour to celebrate the movie’s release. In 2022 the City of Chicago honored her work with a Department of Cultural Affairs grant. Alongside her extensive performing career, Shoshanah also dedicates her time to fostering creativity in others. Through her signature workshop, “Spirit Jam,” she guides musicians and non-musicians in making improvised vocal music. Drawing on her experience as a theatrical improviser and Jewish prayer leader, this workshop creates a spiritual space for participants to connect to themselves and others through music-making.
