Singer-songwriter, author, producer..Ed has worn many hats since 1994. His first two albums, "Desperate Times" (a solo acoustic affair) and "Somewhere South of Here" (with the High Line Riders) garnered him international attention but it was his work since starting with his solo album "The New Punk Blues" and producing the award-winning "Song of America" (both 2007) that took his work to a wider audience. His immersion into free improvisation in 2010 has also informed his music into new and wilder incarnations. A 2 album reunion with the High Line Riders since 2015 and his work in Norway with Mad King Edmund and England with the London Experimental Ensemble make him hard to categorize. And that's just the way he likes it. His songs have been covered by Candi Staton (twice) Bettye LaVette and many others.
