Matt Menace entered the music scene in 2017 with the release of his debut mixtape, "VIRTUAL L.O.V.E." Stylistically, Menace combines melodic yet introspective lyrics with a Trap/RnB feel; while somehow bridging the gap between the West Coast aggression of N.W.A. and Southern swang of Outkast (possibly due to spending stints of his childhood in California, Georgia, and Kansas). Influenced by artists like DJ Quik, 2Pac, 50 Cent and Bob Marley, Matt typically utilizes a new-school, Drake/Travis Scott-esque sound with the use of auto-tune and memorable hooks, however, his lyrical ability is showcased in songs like "Ayo" and single "Bag" released in 2019. Mentored by fellow rapper/producer E.J. Carter, Matt Menace cites him as the main reason he continued rapping after his collegiate football career ended. This connection eventually led to Menace joining forces with Carter under his budding label, Pi Town Sound/PDU, based in Saint Louis, Missouri. Currently, Menace is working on his highly anticipated return, “MENACE WORLD” and "OUT THA CRYPTZ", entirely produced by E.J. Carter & the Pi Town Sound collective set to release in 2022.~
