Born in Senegal, Abdel New Deal has always been immersed in the cultural and musical richness of his homeland. From a young age, he was captivated by the enchanting rhythms of Afrobeat, a musical genre that blends elements of traditional African music, jazz, and funk. In 2018, he moved to Montreal, Canada, where he immersed himself in a multicultural and diverse music scene. Inspired by the cosmopolitan vibes of the city, he integrated his African roots into his music, creating a distinctive sound that merges traditional rhythms with contemporary influences. Drawing from his Senegalese heritage and Montreal influences, Abdel New Deal embraces linguistic diversity in his music, singing effortlessly in French, English, Wolof (his native language), as well as Nigerian Pidgin. This linguistic versatility allows him to reach an international audience and convey his messages with profound authenticity.
