Peter Edwards, is a Singer/Songwriter based in Ipswich, England. He started out as a DJ in Johannesburg, however, his real true love was singing and songwrting. After performing with a number of groups which all quickly disbanded he moved to Europe hoping he would find more like minded people. Arriving in England he sang in a few pubs and clubs in Bury St Edmunds, but only started recording in the later part of 2012. On the 18th of March 2014 , he released his first album entitled CLOSER. Songs such as So Fine and Did You Lie were played on BBC Radio Suffolk Introducing. Choosey Beggar another song from the album was also played extensively on ICR Electric Soul Show. Meanwhile the video for So Fine went to Number 3 on VTYO R&B Video Charts whilst the videos for Kalahari Rain (featuring David Walker) and Dark Clouds both topped that chart for numerous weeks . His second album entitled PAID THE COST featured duets with some Ipswich artists. The song Addicted was played on BBC Suffolk whilst the rap influenced So Many Things was played on a major commercial African radio station. INVISIBLE STORM was released in 2019 through Bentley Records. The title track and the danceable Doggy Paddle were played on BBC Suffolk.Though the album dealt with a lot of personal issues he was facing at that time it had its lighter moments. He took time out to write some books was eventually heard on BBC Radio Suffolk with the soulful Naledi which is on his 2023 compilation RIGHT UP MY STREET.
