Prevail is a 4-time JUNO Award winning and platinum-selling hip hop artist hailing from Vancouver, and the lead rapper in Western Canadian Music Award nominated jazz rap project XL the Band. He first gained notoriety as part of Swollen Members, building Canadian mainstream awareness in the 2000s with extensive national commercial radio and broadcast music video airplay (resulting in 7 MuchMusic Video Awards) for numerous songs.  Now focused on XL The Band, Prevail continues to release music regularly. He has collaborated with internationally recognized and critically acclaimed artists like Nelly Furtado, Everlast, Ghostface Killah, Talib Kweli, and many more, and has toured the world with household names like the Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna, Nelly Furtado, and Avril Lavigne. Prevail has also been heavily involved in charitable work, especially through his ambassadorship with the Music Heals charity. He has also been expanding his experience in the realm of emceeing by hosting large-scale and upstart events including Strike A Chord, TedX, Vancouver Art Gallery Gal, Rugby 7's at BC Place, One Wish on behalf of Make A Wish, Vancouver Virtual Reality Film Festival, and Real Men Real Makeup.
