Biography

Deejay Soso is a creative Dj and producer who saw a business opportunity in his talent. His involvement in music grew in 2001 when he started writing songs and doing voice recordings at his home. In 2007, he was part of a recording label formation in Cala called D.E.P. Music. He seized the opportunity of releasing his first solo house album called D.E.P Sweet Destiny Volume 1 that featured hit songs ntombazana umncinci. He also collaborated with Dj Quje of Queenstown in the song ntombazana qoshela which drew local attention. In 2008 he released another single called Sadness followed by Uyi Harika in 2009 (The Sound was called Isgubhu at the time) and now the same sound is now called Gqom. He worked with many underground artists resulting to two more singles and two albums. In 2014 he was part of a duet group, Eastern Boys and released Ukuthand'Umntu feat. Olothando Ndamase. They appeared on various events and shows including SABC teen show YoTv. 2015 He worked with Have You Heard (HYH) as one of the Dj ambassadors in the Captain Morgan campaign. 2016 he produced a single titled Song of Love (feat. JR Lee a.k.a. Lovers) and the song made it to the Y-FM HOT99DANCE charts for more than 7 weeks and to number 01 for three weeks, followed by an EP titled Mon Voyage featuring various talented Artists. Deejay Soso is currently building his Solo career, he is working on new music and collaborations. Stay Tuned.
