Influenced by the vibrant melting pot of West London’s Roots, Dub, Rap, and Grime scene, MWS draws from a rich musical heritage. As the descendant of pioneering free jazz drummer and composer John Stevens and funk/reggae super-producer Richie Stevens, MWS combines these diverse elements to create his unique sound. His eclectic blend has led him to collaborate with an impressive roster of artists, including George Clinton, Smudge All Stars, Lee Scratch Perry, Paul Weller, Sinead O’Connor, Earl 16, Lowkey, Durrty Goodz, The Goldborns, Kyza, Jhest, and recently Doc Brown. On October 28, 2023, MWS released his debut album, "My Westside Story," in collaboration with renowned producer Haka Beats. Beyond his recording career, MWS remains actively involved in community projects in the Ladbroke Grove area. With numerous collaborations and solo albums in the works, MWS continues to be a dynamic force.
