Ramez Mhaanna is an internationally renowned Danish pianist with Russian and Lebanese background. He started with a Russian teacher in Denmark and went to Moscow in 2010 to take his BA. He returned to the Danish Royal Academy of Music in 2015 to take his masters degree and soloist diploma, since when his career has been extremely rapid, with talent awards which include the Carl Nielsen Talent Prize in 2020, and prizes in such competitions as the Vienna First Music Competition 2019. He has toured a great deal in China and Russia, but also in many other countries. As well as performing as a soloist and chamber musician, Ramez is also a composer, radio host and showman, including ‘Kinky Classics’, which combines drag with classical music.
