Dimitri Smith is an LA-based composer and pianist whose music can be heard everywhere from Netflix to virtual reality headsets. He recently scored the 2023 political dramedy series The Diplomat (Netflix), starring Keri Russell. Dimitri has also composed additional music for Carnival Row (Amazon), The Great (Hulu), Kate (Netflix), Hollywood (Netflix), which earned an Emmy nomination for its jazz score, and others. Dimitri also co-arranged the Main Title for Hollywood, and was honored by the Television Academy for his contribution when Nathan Barr won the Emmy for "Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music" in 2020. Some of Dimitri’s other recent scoring projects include The Mystery of Her (2022), which reached the Netflix Top 10 globally and in 10 different countries, Unicorn Boy (2023) starring Patton Oswalt, Confession (2022) starring Stephen Moyer, and Girl Callin' (2020), which was featured in the 2022 Cannes Short Film Festival. Dimitri grew up in rural Washington state, and moved to Los Angeles in 2009. He now lives in Ventura, CA with his wife Molly and their dogs Dobby and Hedwig.
