A duo from Tallinn/Pärnu/Tartu, Estonia formed at the start of 2021. The beats, the bass, the synths and cat pics come from Aap-Eerik Lai (aapeerik), a quirky bedroom producer living between three Estonian cities. The ethereal, yet punchy-on-demand voice tying all the sounds together belongs to Johanna Pirrus (JP), a Human Geography PhD. Her overwhelmingly bright disposition and love of writing hopeful lyrics, or letters to the listener, if you will, is what gave the duo their name.
