Color One is an CHICAGO IL.-based Hip-hop, R&B, and Gangsta Drill artist whose music is defined by his original musical flavor and storytelling sensibilities. Born and brought up in the Westside of Chicago, Color One spend his formative years surrounded by hip-hop music and street culture, during which time he quickly recognized his dream of making music. Color One’s main focus is to constantly churn out new and original music. His latest single, Phactz, appears on an upcoming album, “How You Gone Win”, which will be about the story of a gangster’s past. The album will be akin to a soundtrack to a dramatic movie with cinematic lyrics and ever-deepening soundscapes. In the last few years, Color One has been making some noise in the Hip-hop and R&B communities as fans and critics compare him to some big names like Rakim, Nas, Boosie, and Pusha T. Moreover, Color One aspires to take pages out of the books of names like Slick Rick and Nas, owing to his diverse musical sensibilities within the frame of Hip-hop and R&B. Nevertheless, Color One’s impact on Hip-hop will not likely stop here. As C.E.O of his own Label M.A.T.S Material Music deriving from His Original Crew M.A.T.S (Mastered All That Shit), he is looking to be the next big thing in hip-hop. As an artist, a business owner, and hustler from a young age, he has all the tools to become the next Kanye, Jay Z or 50 Cent, a goal he is not one to shy away from.
