Up and coming new face to R&B / Hip-Hop genre is Matthew White also known as Hitmanmatt. The artist and songwriter was raised in San Bernardino, California. Born in 1999, Hitmanmatt had an ear for R&B influential artists that shaped his perception of music which included Ne-Yo, Pharrell, and Mary J. Blige. At the early age, Hitmanmatt accidentally fell in love with music while still chasing a Basketball Dream. However, he chose the path of Music after playing Basketball since the age of 3. This navigated his way into following his own path of being apart of his Local Church’s Choir to present day of creating his own sound and perfecting his craft. “Call You Back” was the first solo-single that Matthew pushed out that actually caught attention. From writing this song about a situation he was going through, he didn’t expect that pouring his personal life into a song would be relatable and hook onto others listening to this single. Hitmanmatt knows the music industry is saturated in the genres he enjoys making such as R&B, Hip-Hop, and WestCoast ; However, Hitmanmatt is determined to stand out with his unique sound and vocals to differentiate himself.
