Biography

Amanda Jones is a Los Angeles based film composer whose music credits include the original score for Ava DuVernay’s anthology series, Cherish the Day for OWN, Lena Waithe’s scripted series TWENTIES for BET, Robin Thede and Issa Rae’s A Black Lady Sketch Show for HBO, the original main title theme for Tim & Eric’s new series Beef House for Adult Swim, Trolls 2: World Tour McDonalds Commercial, Nike’s Summer 2019 Campaign Sports Changes Everything, and the Oscar nominated film St. Louis Superman. Additional music department credits include: How to Train Your Dragon 2, and Oprah’s scripted drama Greenleaf which received an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Gospel / Christian Album in 2018. Amanda received her BA in music from Vassar College studying music composition, production and classical guitar under Terry Champlin. She received certificates in film scoring and orchestration from the Berklee College of Music. Amanda also performs as the singer and guitarist of the Los Angeles based indie rock band, The Anti-Job. Their music has received airplay on a variety of radio stations including, BBC Radio and NPR.
