After releasing Confused Love with an old band, Uchi Roho decided to make music independently; pulling from a wide range of personal influences in his writing from his Native American roots, folk, rock, pop, punk, emo, and from Urban influences (being from NOLA.) Various genres and an eclectic sound is the resulting product of such a broad spectrum of influence. Uchi Roho’s 2023 releases WHITE KNIGHT and DEAR TRAV showcase an artistic shift toward an emo/urban influence of sound; often utilizing audio damage, guitar, samples, and beat looping.
