Adam Divine has been making music for 25 years playing both rock and more recently mantra inspired by life in India – but always with a desire to uplift, to heal… to connect. The lockdown was a reflection of our need to connect… to reach out… and he found a connection with producer Shadowbanned. Like so many, Adam turned to music for solace during the lockdown – the project started with a reworking of So Lonely… Realizing that being disconnected is also an opportunity to be connected, immersing in the world of music and feeling, Adam started to write songs looking inside and looking to the stars for guidance – North Star. North Star is the first single to be released from his new collaboration with Shadowbanned – Shadow Sides. Lyrically, Adam is inspired by poetry and rhythm and employs the cut-and-paste techniques of William Burroughs and Jeff Noon. His musical influences are a masala mix-tape ranging from the poetics of Elliott Smith and Nick Drake to Beck and Soundgarden - infused with mystical poetry and mantras.
