Reigning from Darlington, SC, Robert Anthony is a Singer/Songwriter who is an original artist that sings from the soul over a sound that fuses Soul, R&B, and Gospel. His musical and vocal influences include the likes of Toni Braxton, Whitney Houston, Patti LaBelle, Luther Vandross, Donny Hathaway, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, and Aretha Franklin. R&B music in the early 90’s became the soundtrack to Robert’s years in High School. The love of the lyrics from the songs inspired Robert to want to sing as well as compose his own lyrics. This was also the decade that introduced Toni Braxton to the world and she quickly became Robert’s favorite artist of all times. Vowing to one day meet and sing with Toni Braxton, Robert achieved that opportunity after moving to Atlanta, GA and performing on stage with her at two of her concerts, as the guest Toni pulled from the audience.
