In an environment where the gospel often falls on deaf ears, Yung B.E. is using his gift to spread the word to those that may not listen otherwise. Tapping into modern times and understanding the nature of rap and its impact on urban society, he uniquely and transparently preaches over beats that are not usually associated with traditional gospel melodies. Yung B.E. started his rap career at the age of 16, in a group called called C2C (committed to Christ); his real life was not lining up with what he was rapping about and he eventually decided to quit. Years filled with ill-decisions and rough circumstances passed, after praying for a breakthrough, God told him very clearly not to waste his gift. He began using music as an outlet to talk to God and found his lane in the rap world by ministering life experiences to others by releasing his first album, Blood Bought M.U.S.I.C.. Yung B.E.’s music is powerful, empathy-invoking and aware. His songs are about real situations and real people, which is why they are relatable to a wide array of listeners.
