My name is Derrell and I’m a producer/rapper/songwriter/engineer from Columbia, SC. I am one of the core members of Project FLIGHT 803. Music has always been special to me since my earliest memories of riding around with my parents listening to artists like Tupac, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Biggie, Ludacris, The Game, Usher and Destiny’s Child to name a few. I’ve recently picked up engineering but I’ve been writing poems and raps since 5th grade and producing since 10th grade. I’m a natural introvert, so releasing my art is something I’ve had to work up to. I’ve always been “that quiet kid in the back of the class” but music brings out a different side of me. Growing up my parents listened to a wide variety of music and I think that diversity has greatly impacted my artistry. 
 I am solely responsible for my artistic sound. I craft everything from the ground shaking 808s and smokey vibes in my beats to the punchlines and often reverb heavy vocals I put on my tracks. There isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t work on music in one way or another so I’m constantly growing and learning. Simply put, music is my life. Without this outlet, I don’t know who or where I’d be today
