Dr. Virginia Rivas Champion is the lead vocalist of the group Virginia y Valor. She has been influenced by the sounds of Tejano and Conjunto music, Mariachis, Trios, and a variety of other music genres throughout her life. Dr. Champion is an accomplished professional in the field of education, yet her deep interest in music and singing led her to establish the group Virginia y Valor in 2018. Como Han Pasado Los Anos by Virginia y Valor released in 2019 on Tejano Highway 281's Studio Sessions Album. Virginia y Valor's first album, Amor Mio released in 2020, followed by the Adelante album that released in 2021, which includes collaborations with Shelly Lares and Toby Beau.
