Jake Lloyd aka Musicjaker is a record producer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, composer and mix engineer originally from London, England. Growing up on a nourishing diet of Knopfler, Frusciante and Prince licks, as a child he would spend days locked away with his guitar, attempting to copy his idols. At 16, he began performing in local indie bands, and started to hone skills in the dark art of hook writing. To this day, his production places enormous value on the lesser spotted earworm. Another key inspiration has been Justin Vernon, who became the fourth face on his own personal Mt. Rushmore. In 2016, he formed his own band, Not My Circus, performing nationally, including at Mad Cool Festival, in 2017. After several formative years at the prestigious Point Blank Music School, he became interested in fusing those classic roots with electronic elements from minimal, tech house, and even dubstep. He added more strings to his bow, including unhealthy interest in synth-programming, odd time signature exploration, orchestral composition, outboard gear shopping, and the imbibing of offensively large cups of tea. Now residing in Madrid, Spain, out of his recording studio, The Woods, he has begun carving out a lane for himself, producing a growing number of local and international artists.
