Andrés Sánchez & Gus Reyes, both composers for visual media, decided to join forces back in 2009 at the 1st Edition of the Mexico City Film Music Lab, Sponsored by Guillermo Del Toro´s producer Bertha Navarro. After writing orchestral arrangements together for the multi award winning album "Música de Fondo MTV Unplugged" for the Rock Band Zoé, they have worked on countless feature films, series and documentary films since then. Gus Reyes was nominated for the Jerry Goldsmith Award for Best Music for Feature Film at the International Film Music Festival of Spain 2014 for his work on "The Dark Side of Light", and later selected for the Sundance Film Music Program at the Skywalker Ranch in 2016. Andrés Sánchez was also nominated and winner of the Ariel Award for Best Music for Feature Film by the Mexican Film Academy of Film Arts in 2018 for his work on "I dream in Another Language" where Reyes did the musical production, orchestral arrangements and additional music. Sánchez and Reyes are sponsored by Steinberg / Yamaha, AVID, Native Instruments, Arturia, UVI and U-he music companies and have been constantly invited as Film Music Advisors on all editions of the Mexico Film Music Lab since 2009.
