Maverick Knight, born Mario Maphosa II was birthed on December 19th, 1995, in Polana Caniço "A", Maputo, Moçambique. The Mozambican-Native was named after his late grandfather, Mario Maphosa, who was iconic in his community back in the early 1960s. The indie artist was raised in the Southern Africa throughout his childhood by his extended family relatives and he got more in touch with sound at the age of 17 as he began recording music as a way of expressing himself to listeners and the people around him. 🇲🇿 ☪ 🇿🇦
