Biography

Løyd is a Brussels based producer known for his raw, conceptual and divergent electronic music. Through his art and music he presents an inconvenient reflection on today's society. In his early teens, Løyd quickly developed an interest in playing the guitar and formed a band with friends. At 16, he discovered electronic music by attending parties at the legendary Fuse nightclub, and would eventually DJ at dubstep & drum and bass events. The underground & alternative culture, as well as his growing interest for synthesizers and sound design pushed him to experiment, Ableton Live being the perfect outlet to develop new ideas. A Post-Apocalyptic Modern Art Gallery, his first album, was released on October 25th, 2019, and was critically acclaimed by the press and by indie blogs, with a live performance on television for the Decibels show, shot in March 2020. Løyd released his sophomore album Joypark on March 11th, 2022. To celebrate, he did an exclusive performance in the Decentraland metaverse, followed by a Belgian tour with his new Løyd LIVE show. In July, Løyd won the Boys Noize remix competition with Rave Pigs. He was then invited by On-Chain Records to play an exclusive DJ set at the Rave Pigs party in the Voxels metaverse. On September 4th, 2024, Løyd will release the first track of his upcoming album, The Intruder Has The Key. Each subsequent song will be released monthly on the first Wednesday, completing the album over the course of a year.
