EARLY START: The core work of Native North's production is headed by Peter Karlsson. Since his childhood music has been an integral part of his life. He was first introduced to music back in the 60's by his grandfather Elving Bäckmark, who at the time was a distinguished Swedish musician. DEVELOPING SKILLS: As a teenager Peter had mastered several instruments and was playing a wide range of genres with different bands and groups. After a longer break, he then started writing his own music in the late 90's, which resulted in him and singer Cecilia Joelsson forming the pop group Eskimoes INTERNATIONAL CAREER: Eskimoes became an international success and their song Anything for Love was no.1 on the German dance hit list. The duo also performed on most major scenes and clubs in northern and southern Europe. Following this success Peter connected to many major publishers in the industry, including BMG Publishing, Plugged Publishing, Starlab Publishing, Swedish Songs and many more. Other collaborations include working with Samsung, creating built-in songs for their best-selling "YEPP" mp3-players, and in doing so reaching new audiences all over the world. MOVING FORWARD: Today Peter is running The Native North, working together with his dear wife, among many others.
