Biography

Last Aliens in Rio is the bossa nova project of Brazilian singer and songwriter Felipe Lion. Through this project, the artist aims to breathe new life into this classic Brazilian music genre, which rose to fame internationally back in the 1950s and 60s but hasn't seen much innovation in its repertoire lately. The debut album TEU DOCE JEITO DE DIZER ADEUS dropped in 2015 under the Swedish label Mareld. It was followed by two more albums, BOSSA NOVA HOTEL (2016) and ÍNDIA (2019) along with several singles, all released by the Italian label RNC Music. You can catch Last Aliens in Rio on various jazz, lounge, and Brazilian music collections, as well as popping up in loads of playlists. Their top hit so far? ÍNDIA - TARDE DE SOL, snagging a spot on 2 Spotify's editorial playlists. Last Aliens in Rio just released their fourth album, BOSSA DOS JARDINS, which includes the singles from the past two years and some new tracks. Quick side note about Last Aliens in Rio: Their album covers, singles, and playlists frequently showcase powerful and sexy women on the cover, in homage to Felipe Lion's admiration for the English band Roxy Music, whose album covers inspired him.
