“My Instincts Speak and They Tell Me You’re Gone” is the debut EP of The Scarlet Pillows. The 6 reverb drenched, guitar twanged, love struck indie pop songs were first conceived by the lead singer, Neil Smith and then brought to life by the producer and drummer of the band, Chris Denny. Complete with the 80’s inspired synthesizer sounds of Jo Pyeong Jae The Scarlet Pillows is a band inspired by post punk icons such as Joy Division and The Smiths but also the synth pop sounds of artists like Wham, Duran Duran and Madonna.
