Povl Kristian, born February 4, 1964, in Rødovre near Copenhagen, is a pivotal figure in Danish music history, renowned for his extensive involvement in concerts, record releases, and soundtracks. Starting with classical piano and guitar in childhood, his talents expanded to include various instruments, music theory, and opera singing. Povl Kristian's music career took off in 1985 with the formation of Hotel Hunger, where he was instrumental as a keyboardist, songwriter, arranger, and producer. He later joined Lars H.U.G.'s backing band, contributing to their success with albums like "Kopy" (1989) and "Blidt over dig" (1992). Produced and arranged Lars H.U.G.’s album "10 sekunders stilhed" (2014), a critical and commercial success. As one of Denmark's most sought-after film composers, Povl Kristian boasts nearly 80+ films on his resume. His recent work includes the score for “Meter i Sekundet” (2023), a hit in Danish cinemas, and other notable films “Mr. Graversen” (2022), “Robotbror” (2022), and “A Beautiful Someone Left Behind” (2020), “Pusher" (1996), Lets get lost (1997), en kort en lang / Shake it all about (2001) and more….
