the chill, laid-back sounds of King Kie have been inspired by soulful artists like Chaka Khan, Prince, and John Legend... but this artist has also certainly crafted her own distinct sound. she was born Kierra Gray in Dallas, Texas to her mother and father as the eldest of three children, which is where her musical development first began. With the support of her musically-inclinded siblings, she began to write songs for them all to play. since the age of 14, King Kie has made music for a living in her local region by writing, recording, performing, and teaching. In the meantime she has collaborated with other home-town artists like Cure for Paranoia and Friday's Foolery.
