Born and raised in Brasília and now based in Lisbon, Kurup is a musical manifest to a cyber-tropical territory infused with Disco beats, Downtempo vibes, Dub inspirations, and House music influences. Kurup's distinctive approach showcases his investigation with the convergences of South American culture, Club, and Rave music, delving into mystical and theatrical cadences. With a background in visual arts and a passion for exploring the duality between sound and image, all culminated in a manifestation of a hypnotic dancing groove. Renato Rocha, the artist behind the project, extends from being a DJ, Composer, and Set Designer to an Illustrator and Cultural Producer. The musical versatility appears while blending traditional music with avant-garde electronic beats. With a global presence, Kurup has taken his music to over 20 countries, leaving a trail of audiences in his wake.
 Kurup's discography includes seven EPs, numerous singles, and remixes. Moreover, his cultural impact as a producer has been felt through the organization of many cultural events, not only in Lisbon and Brasília but also in Berlin, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
