Biography

Marçal Perramon Moreira, born in Barcelona, Spain, in 1999, is a Catalan jazz saxophonist, clarinetist, and composer from a family full of musicians. He began playing the clarinet at a very young age and added the saxophone to his life at the age of 11. After studying with the most prominent saxophonists and teachers in the country and within the Sant Andreu Jazz Band project, Perramon pursued advanced jazz studies at ESMuC with professors Eladio Reinón and Gorka Benítez. In 2021, he moved to Switzerland to continue his education at the prestigious JazzCampus in Basel, where he studied with saxophonists Mark Turner, Chris Cheek, and Domenic Landolf. In addition to participating in over 30 recordings as a sideman, Marçal Perramon co-led the album "Joan Chamorro Presenta Marçal Perramon" (Jazz to Jazz 2021) and “Somewhere” (Fresh Sound New Talent 2024) with Giuseppe Campisi, Camil Arcarazo and Jorge Rossy.
