Scottish born Stillhead produces deep electronic music. It mixes many genres and sits stylistically between dub, drum & bass, ambient, dub-techno, downtempo, post dubstep, deep techno and bass music. After 6 years, over 25 releases and stacks of remixes under his DFRNT alias, Alex Cowles decided to switch things up in 2013 and start fresh as Stillhead. In addition to a multitude of his releases, Alex has completed remixes for a number of artists including Nick Warren, Machinedrum, Rumpistol, Youth and Troy Gunner. Alex has written the score for a short film, contributed tracks to various compilations (for the likes of Nick Warren's Balance Mix, Hospital Records/Med School's popular New Blood series, Pablo Bolivar's Avant Roots and the groundbreaking Traum Schallplatten label) and performed live as Stillhead in a number of places including Copenhagen, Tallinn, Riga and even Greenland.
