YUNG R.E.M is a 18-year-old artist from Tienen, Belgium. He grew up always listening to music because of his father who was a big music fanatic and musician with a huge record collection. "We would always listen to music while eating dinner or in the morning to set the mood for the day”. this made him fall in love with music and gave him the urge to make music himself. In Dec 2019 he started making beats on his laptop in GarageBand, this led to him releasing his first single "Pistol Whip" on SoundCloud in Jan 2020. Around this time R.E.M and 2 of his best friends formed the music group "YUNG MOB" They released many singles including the "R.S.G" series. YUNG R.E.M's succes led to him releasing his first single on all streaming platforms in Nov 2020 (l REMEMBER). After “I REMEMBER" he went on to release more singels like “Ruin Yo lif3.", "Don’T Be Mad At Me". These singles were received very positively and eventually led him to release his debut project in may of 2022 titled “R.E.M”. In 2023 he ventured into others genres besides hiphop and also saw him using his first language Dutch for the first time instead of English. In September 2023 he released his sophomore project titled "AleXis" and is currently working on a third project set to be released sometime this year. His biggest inspiration are artist like Playboi Carti, Yung Lean and many more.
