London based Birmingham born On1 has begun to make a name for himself in the garage scene the past year or two due to his high energy sets and his unique moody productions. By taking a lot of inspiration from certain pioneers El-B, Zed Bias, Steve Gurly (just to name a few) during the period where UK garage music was getting progressively darker and in turn creating Dubstep. On1 found himself fully immersed in the culture this movement brought forward. This sound massively influenced his productions and still does. By blending infectious and skippy 2-step percussion with powerful gritty basslines and not much else on a track you definitely notice when an On1 track is being spun.
