Biography

Gary “Litefoot” Davis is an enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation. He is an award winning actor, the first Native American rap artist, an author, podcaster and an entrepreneur. He has had starring roles in several feature films such as, “The Indian in The Cupboard”, “Kull, The Conqueror”, “Adaptation”, “Mortal Kombat II”, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s “The Song of Hiawatha” and John Steinbeck’s, “The Pearl” and appeared on television programs such as, House of Cards, CSI: Miami, Family Law and Any Day Now.  Litefoot began his career as the first Native American rap artist and has recorded 14 studio albums and headlined his own hip hop tours performing to tens of thousands of Native people on reservations across North America. Mr. Davis produces his own podcast entitled, “The Litefoot Show”. Mr. Davis motivates audiences nationwide as a public speaker. He has provided hundreds of keynotes and business trainings for corporations and tribes. He has also lectured at a variety of colleges and universities including Virginia Tech, University of Wyoming, University of Wisconsin, University of North Carolina and University of Oregon. He has been a featured speaker for corporations and organizations across North America. Mr. Davis was recently selected by Scholastic, Inc. as one of the featured indigenous people in their book, “Native American Heroes”.
