Being one of the pioneering forces behind the ever-growing Hip-Hop scene in Australia, MARKIA has been successful in delivering his music and message across the globe. MARKIA has gained a number of accomplishments in his growing career; his collaborative single “Lion Nation” with Sri Lankan artist Iraj was the official theme song of the 2012 Cricket World Cup. MARKIA's next single “Your Love” was added to BBC Radio, and was also nominated for a Hollywood Music Award for Pop Single of the Year in 2012. The song caught the ears of legendary hip-hop producers DJ Quik and Jazzy Pha, winning first place in a production placement for R&B artist Truth Hurts, who was previously signed to Dr Dre’s Aftermath Record Label. MARKIA's 2013 single “M.I” was added to the legendary Freeway Mixtape Series which was exclusively hosted by Maybach Music Group CEO and artist Rick Ross. In 2017, MARKIA landed a feature with Big Drako himself Soulja Boy for the single "Hate That I Love U", which to date has racked up over 500,000 YouTube views. MARKIA's following two singles would end up charting country wide in Sri Lanka with "Run The City" reaching top ten and "K.O. (Theme song for boxer Joel KAMAKO Camilleri)" landing the number 1 spot. MARKIA is set to release his aniticipated solo album "FREEDOM SZN" in January 2021, which includes the singles "REPO" and "CANDY" and guest features Army Regime, CHUX and Urban Praise
