Biography

My professional music career began as a saxophonist with Anthony Braxton's Ghost Trance Ensemble, a composer for The Middletown Creative Orchestra, and as the owner of the newsonic record label. I moved to New York City continued to explore jazz and free improvisation in my duo with Brian Chase of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and the quartet Transit with Nate Wooley, Reuben Radding, and Jeff Arnal. My interest in indie rock, hip-hop, and pop led to the formation of my group Dynasty Electrik, and my work was featured in commercials for Victoria's Secret, Microsoft, Bath and Bodyworks, and MTV. We worked with Ski Beatz and Dame Dash on our album "Golden Arrows", and with DJ Logic, David Maurice, and Brady Watt on "Eye Wide Open", which was featured on MTV's 120 Minutes. I have always been interested in the healing power of sound and in 2012 I began a sound healing practice. In 2015, I moved to Los Angeles and began performing in various yoga studios. This would led me to work with a number of celebrities including Usher, Thalia, and Rachel Platten. In 2019, I had a vision of a new style of hip-hop in alternate time signatures. I wrote "High Five (Rap in 5/4)" and the next phase of my musical journey began. My first EP of alternative hip-hop "Strange Times" comes out in October 2020.
