Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, rapper, singer, producer and entrepreneur Iz LaMarr adopts the diversity of LA in each of his crafts, celebrating the multitude of subcultures that make up the rich tapestry of the California hip hop scene. After picking up piano and guitar at the age of eight, he brewed a passion for music that has remained integral to his life, looking to Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Michael Jackson, Travis Scott, Rihanna and Kanye West for inspiration. His career kicked off in high school and he rapidly began to gain recognition from peers and the local community. Expanding further as he moved to New York City Iz is also the founder of the event production company Roaring 20s, a platform for independent artists of color around the world, based in LA, NY and Berlin Germany. Coming off his latest EP “OTW” reaching nearly half a million views across platforms Iz LaMarr has introduced a new sound he calls Rage and Blues which Iz describes as a blend of high energy ‘rage’ and afrobeats influenced production merged with live instrumentation both in the track and in its live performance.
