Aries is a rapper and writer born in Washington, DC. Her passion for music initiated at an early age when her family exposed her to GoGo music which is a style of funk heavy on bass and percussion, originated in D.C., in the late 1970s. 
 Her brother plays with a GoGo band throughout the city using large ensembles with multiple percussionists and she used to see them practice for hours at a time. 
 Aries was born in the middle of the Hip-Hop culture explosion and it influenced her to start rapping and writing. This combination reflects her originality and delivery and she speaks her mind through her lyrics by writing relatable music. 
 Aries knows that being born in DC has it’s perks and She is not talking politics. In Washington, DC you learn at an early age if you don’t go after what you want then you must not want it.
