Biography

Ring Ring Rouge are an alternative/indie band from Burnley, Lancashire. The band is made up of Gary Starr (vocals and guitar), Michael Connell (guitar and backing vocals), Clive Durkin (bass and drums) and Shaun Starr (drums, bass and guitar). Since forming in 2011 the four-piece have gone on to impress audiences across England with their instrument swapping live performances and eclectic sound. Following recording sessions in London and Berlin with producers Margo Broom and engineers Matt Bruce and Andy 'Tex' Jones, Ring Ring Rouge released their debut album, Head Full of Fog, in April 2014. The band then embarked on a tour that included Liverpool Sound City, a date in Manchester with a DJ set from Inspiral Carpets' Clint Boon and two live sets on BBC Music Introducing in Lancashire with Sean McGinty. Since then, weddings and newborns have occupied the time of the band outside the world of music whilst they set to work on the follow-up to their debut album. The four-piece began recording drums and bass for Talking in Instalments at Hermitage Works Studio in London with Margo Broom producing, before returning to their roots to complete guitars and vocals at Groove Studios in Burnley with producer Matt Bruce. August 2019 saw the release of the band's long-awaited second album Talking in Instalments with live shows set to be announced soon.
