Pat Carroll is an electronic music producer based in Sydney. Working initially as Piecey, his sounds started out as groove-based house before evolving into his current name stay and cinematic 2018 release, Conditions and 2019’s techno leaning Augur. Each garnered support from household electronic brands Mixmag and DJ Mag as well as a continued presence on Bandcamp. In 2020 Carroll dropped the Winds Alight double single, and his Branching EP, again, finding support from local and international artists and streaming services. 2021 saw yet another stellar electronic release with the single Hope, as well as a remix of ‘Intuition’ by Tornado Club–the collaborative project of Woodes and The Kite String Tangle. It's not only in the studio that Carroll finds audiences with support slots for artists such as Willaris. K and Octave One. Having performed at shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth he's well versed in creating aural experiences for audiences with a standout set at the river stage of the much loved NSW festival, Subsonic. He has released on several labels and also releases on his own imprint, Occupancy. Carroll has also released music as Bounty Hill –a project that delivers experimental, drone and ambient pieces. Additionally, Carroll received his PhD in 2021 in the field of electroacoustic composition, exploring the links between acousmatic and popular electronic music composition.
