(Wally Hart) is an emcee, rap coach, and hip hop educator with an almost PhD in Sociology from Texas A&M. Wally has been involved in hip hop since his freshman year at Texas A&M University as a DJ (first), emcee, producer, blogger, academic, curator, list-maker, shit talker, manager, and promoter. Born in Cincinnati and raised between Houston and Cincinnati, WUW? combines the intellectual style of conscious boom bap battle rap endemic to Cincinnati with the free-flowing rhythmic styles and party political aesthetic of the south, specifically Screwston, Texas. As a scholar and hip hop educator, WUW? spent almost a decade of his life (2009-2017) studying systemic racism, critical theory, hip hop, and the intersections of systemic racism, the culture industry, hip hop, and white consumers.
