Takunda Kurinyepa, a versatile singer-songwriter from Chitungwiza, defies genre boundaries with his eclectic artistry. With a lifelong passion for music, Takunda's recording journey began in 2021 with the afropop single "Temptations." He followed up with the deep house track "Ndasarudza Iwe," which received airplay on Trace Africa, and the afrobeat song "Vaima," a soulful plea for better days that aired on Trace Gospel. Takunda's R&B release, "Addicted (Interlude)," explores love addiction, while his latest afropop-R&B fusion single, "Pano," embodies assurance and love. In 2024, he collaborated with Clef Jones and Tadiwa on the hit single "Bharanzi" and later released "Nharembozha," both produced by Clef Jones, who has been behind the production of all Takunda's tracks. Takunda draws inspiration from personal experiences and his surroundings, finding solace in music as his "safe haven." With international recognition as his ultimate goal, Takunda aims to share his message worldwide. He envisions giving back by empowering fellow artists and eventually establishing his own record label, fostering a platform for talent to thrive.
